In order to meet the future requirements of particle separation in the automotive industry, mainly driven by Nano-technology, MHD has desigend and developed the PREMAG flocculation unit. This PREMAG, installed on the inlet side of the PACMAN magnetic separator, aims to join smaller particels together to form larger flocs, which can be more easily captured in the main magentic field of the PACMAN. A PACMAN magnetic separator with PREMAG will separate more efficently in the smalles particle range.

In April 2018 the patent for the PACMAN in combination with the PREMAG is granted in The Netherlands (under number 2017443).
